With this residual current device 3P+N B-characteristic 30mA you can protect your electrical installation against leakage current and overcurrent due to overload or short circuit. This earth leakage circuit breaker is suitable for 3-phase charging station installations.
B characteristic
An earth leakage circuit breaker Type B is required to connect a power group. If you want to install a 3-phase charging station and you use a power group to connect the charging station in the group cabinet, you need the Type B earth leakage circuit breaker. This earth leakage circuit breaker recognizes all types of leakage currents and is therefore guaranteed to switch off regardless of the amount of leakage current (fault current).
DIN rail mounting
This Chint earth leakage circuit breaker is 4 units wide and suitable for easy mounting on the DIN rail.
No DC leakage protection
An earth leakage circuit breaker does not protect against DC leakage. DC leaks can occur if, for example, you charge an electric car via a charging point at your home or business. If your charging point/charging station is protected against this, you can suffice with an earth leakage circuit breaker. If your charging station does not have a DC leakage protection, you must choose an earth leakage circuit breaker type B in combination with a power group to be installed in the meter cupboard.
Note regarding the charging of electric vehicles
If you install a charging station with a DC leakage protection, it is sufficient to use an earth leakage circuit breaker type B behind the main switch. In that case you do not need an earth leakage circuit breaker type B. If you have a charging station without DC leakage protection, we recommend installing an earth leakage circuit breaker type B in combination with a power group in the meter cupboard.
